What the sea Remembers feels like a fragment of the coastline pulled close, as if the ocean has revealed one of its private memories. The form rises from the sand in sweeping, curved planes – part driftwood, part fossil, part worn monument. Soft ochres and muted blues coil through its surface, echoing the colours of tide-washed stone. A deep, shadowed cleft creates a sense of vulnerability, as though this relic has split open to show its history. The sky above hangs heavy, amplifying the painting’s quiet tension between strength and surrender. This abstract landscape invites viewers to lean in and listen to the erosion of time, the echoes of storms, and the stories the sea chooses to leave behind.
