I gaze from my perch with a monarch’s disdain,
The world full of noise, too clumsy too plain.
Your antics amuse me- though not to my face,
I carry the weight of all feline grace.
My eyes are jade judgements, my whiskers a frown,
I rule this whole room without leaving the ground.
No purrs today- perhaps not tomorrow-
I’m brooding on truths too heavy to borrow.
Approach if you must-but do so with care.
My kingdom is silence. My throne is this chair.
