The Thought that Flew
With eyes closed and features softened in quiet repose, the woman in The Thought that Flew appears suspended in a moment of deep inwardness. A small bird flutters at her crown- delicate, alert, perhaps a messenger or memory alighting briefly in thought. The contrast between stillness and motion, silence and flight, evokes the fleeting nature of reflection. Wrapped in a halo of cool and warm tones, the figure becomes part dream, part presence. This portrait invites the viewer to listen beyond what is seen-to the quiet stirrings of the inner world and the whisper of things that come unbidden, but never unnoticed.
