Reliquary of the Tide stands like the last monument of a world slowly claimed by water and wind. Its skeletal structure rises out of the sand as though unearthed after a storm- part driftwood, part ruin, part creature long forgotten. Light grazes its worn edges, revealing colours that feel scorched, weather-beaten, and ancient. The vast turbulent sky beyond holds the horizon in suspense, amplifying the sense that this form is both survivor and warning. In this abstract landscape, decay becomes cathedral; emptiness becomes echo. The painting asks what endures when the tide takes everything it can – and what stories remain lodged in the bones of the shore.
