Cock-Eyed
In Cock-eyed, I wanted to capture the in between state of a perimenopausal woman’s sensuality, where it shifts from invitation to power. The confidence of knowing one’s magnetism, without needing validation. The Rooster besides her is a play on the male ego, and energy that is ever present in a woman’s life. In this instance the loud energy from the rooster becomes almost irrelevant as she steps into her own power. The work plays with duality: beauty and brashness, poise and noise, control and chaos. The acidic colours and exaggerated lighting amplify the reflection of her inner world where the ego becomes surreal, and humour meets the loudness of everyday life. In this piece we see a woman discovering her newfound power and she is not afraid to use it.

Refunds are offered to customers who received the wrong artwork or damaged artwork.
If the artwork is damaged when it arrives, you should contact us within 24 hours to report this, or not accept the package if it arrived damaged at your address.
To qualify for a refund, please provide us with photos of the wrong or damaged artwork. In addition, the artwork must be returned to us at your expense within seven days of you receiving it. The artwork should reach us in the same condition we sent it you, in its original packaging.
