Acrylic paint on canvas
30cm x 40cm
Inspired by the visual language of Picasso, this portrait became less about imitation and more about conversation. As the painting evolved, the fractured planes began to describe something beyond appearance - how a single face can hold many versions of a person at once.
The shifting colours suggest changing emotions rather than changing light. Strength sits beside vulnerability humour beside fatigue, certainty beside doubt. Like much of my work, the portrait explores personality.
The black cat is a quiet companion and observer adding some mystery.
